The Access Partnership

The Access Partnership established in 2001 is an NHS based healthcare consultancy which is commissioned by PCT’s, NHS Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities and the Department of Health. We are hosted by Harrow PCT and work with organisations across the U.K to help improve access to services and to reduce unnecessary waiting.

It initially worked with AHP (Allied Health Professional) community based services with the aim of improving access. It has however, expanded in recent years to include working with District Nursing and GUM (Genito-urinary medicine) Services.

The Access Partnership uses an inclusive approach when working with Services. It works in partnership with managers, clinicians, administration staff and other service providers to improve access for service users.

Although originally working with London based services, The Access Partnership is now a national organisation, and has worked with services in all parts of the UK.

The Access Partnership has undertaken a piece of work with the Department of Health putting together an AHP Services Information Management Handbook and creating a Physiotherapy Pathway Improvement Tool.
